Boatel Information

Effective for the 2011 boating season, Abell Custom Marine, as part of the merger with Gingerville Yachting Center, has taken ownership of the boatel racks located at Gingerville Yachting Center.  The transition of rack management from GYC to Abell Custom Marine will be transparent to our customers and you can expect the same great service and unbeatable prices you have received in the past.

This popular storage method eliminates the need for bottom painting and reduces the wear and tear that many boats stored in the water experience.  Our new forklift, one of the largest in the Annapolis area, allows us to accommodate boats in excess of 30 feet though the the actual weight of your boat with fuel and supplies on-board is the final determining factor in whether or not we can provide this option for you.  Rack storage is our most economical option with annual prices starting at $1440.  All boatel contracts are for 12 months so no additional storage fees are required for the winter layover.

It’s simple.  We store your boat on land when you’re not using it and put it in the water for you when you want to use it.  Your launch and recovery fees are included in your annual price so there are no additional expenses to haul out or launch.  Boatel customers may request a launch a day or more in advance using our new and improved on-line launch request form.   For same-day launches please call the office directly at least one hour prior to your desired launch time.  Boats will generally be recovered the following business day unless otherwise specified during the launch request.

In 2009 we added floating docks for our boatel customers and for 2011 we have opened up the insides of both A and B docks for our boatel boats.  In all, we have well over 400’ of dock space available for boatel use with water and electric available along both A & B docks.   So what does this mean for you?  It means the freedom to use your boat as you please and not worry about strict launch/recovery hours and lack of overnight in-water storage that you’ll find at many other area marinas.
